Yair Franco is from San Francisco and is a junior geophysics major at the University of California, Berkeley. This summer, Yair is participating in the URISE internship program researching seismology.
Luise Gleason is originally from Germany and is currently attending the University of California, Santa Barbara as an Earth science major. Luise is spending the summer in Boulder, Colorado while participating in the RESESS internship program.
Katelyn Fredrick is originally from Mississippi but is currently attending Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado as a geology major. This summer, Katelyn is using her knowledge of chemistry to investigate the mineralogy of the Lemitar Carbonites in the Lemitar Mountains, New Mexico.

Charles Garcia is originally from Pueblo, CO but has been living in Albuquerque, NM for the last ten years. This summer, Charles has been selected to participate in the Geo-Launchpad internship program and is mapping aquifers in Southern New Mexico with Laila Sturgis, his mentor from the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources.
Sara Agard is a Geo-Launchpad intern that recently completed her first year at Central New Mexico Community College studying pre-health science. This summer, she will be mapping the St.Vrain using QGIS over the past decade to collect research on the behavior of flood plains.
Kaden Berkhahn is a RESESS intern from Milwaukee, Wisconsin spending the summer in Boulder, Colorado. This summer, Kaden is working on a project examining megacrystic zircon from kimberlite pipes.
Ann Mariya Malayil is a junior at Rutgers University and is a geoscience major, environmental science minor. Ann Mariya is originally from India and is spending her summer at the University of South Carolina conducting geophysics research for EarthScope’s URISE internship program.
