About Isabella (she/her)

Isabella Metts is a Graduate Student at Michigan Technological University pursuing her Master’s degree in Geophysics. She received her BS in Geology with a concentration in Quantitative Geoscience and a minor in Mathematics from Appalachian State University in 2021. Since starting her journey at Michigan Tech she has received two Master’s Certificates, one in Natural Hazards and Disaster Risk Reduction and one in Geoinformatics. In her Master’s research, Isabella focuses on volcano seismology and data analysis. This summer she will be assisting in educational resource development with the goal of improving data understanding and accessibility.
