Maggie Burke

Chief Administrative Officer

Maggie Burke serves as Chief Administrative Officer for EarthScope Consortium, leading Finance and Accounting, Budgeting, Human Resources, Administration, Contracts, Procurement, Compliance, Legal, and Permitting. She provides strategic leadership for organizational operations, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide administrative functions supporting EarthScope’s scientific mission.

Specializing in building high-performing organizations, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring compliance with complex federal regulations, Maggie brings more than 30 years of experience in government contracting, federal grants management, corporate operations, and organizational leadership, including more than 20 years in executive leadership roles supporting global nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Prior to joining EarthScope, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at International Business Initiatives, Vice President at ACDI/VOCA, and Director at Africare.

Maggie holds a MA in Business, Leading Innovation and Change, from York St John University, is a Certified Paralegal, and maintains SPHR and SHRM-CP credentials. Outside of work, she volunteers at museums and historic sites, supporting archaeology, and hands-on educational programs.
