Dan joined EarthScope supporting hazards initiatives and the migration to the cloud. Dan worked as a research geophysicist for 20 years at the USGS National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, CO. His research was primarily focussed on seismic hazard, improving earthquake monitoring and tsunami warning systems, characterizing induced earthquakes, and developing rapid response aftershock recording networks. Highlights include the wastewater induced earthquakes in Oklahoma and the 2009 Haiti and 2015 Gorkha Nepal earthquakes. Personal interests include acoustic music, uphill skiing and exploring the remote lakes of eastern Canada.
