As a Cloud Software Engineer III, Jeff’s role in the Data Services team involves migrating services to the cloud. Outside of work, he finds enjoyment in reading and playing games.

Sarah interfaces between the science community and Earthscope’s cloud development team to enhance access to EarthScope’s data tools. Her multidisciplinary career has spanned data engineering, Antarctic IT, agricultural robotics, biomechanical engineering, and science communication. Outside of work, Sarah seeks out Type-2 Fun like trail running, gravel biking, freeride skiing, backpacking, and baking at high altitude.

Ken is a postdoctoral software engineer with expertise and success in (1) concurrent, distributed, and peer systems; (2) computer network protocols and virtualization; and (3) software system design, implementation, and experimentation. His experience spans designing, implementing, profiling, and optimizing software systems for correctness and performance. Franklyn is a Cloud Software Engineer on the Data Service Team. In Franklyn’s free time you’ll find him climbing rocks or frozen waterfalls, biking on logging roads, practicing chess openings and chasing elk during hunting season.

Kang works as a data scientist supporting the Geodetic Imaging program, with a focus on modernizing support for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and other Earth Observation data. Outside of work, he finds joy in DIY activities and explores the realms of creativity and technology during his free time.

Solar is dedicated to integrating software that enables the utilization of Earth data to enhance our understanding and appreciation of the world. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring local trails and creeks with his family or taking on DIY projects at home.

David, a software engineer on the Data team, has a passion for sports and games. During his free time, you’ll find him bouldering, playing chess at the pub, or engrossed in a good book.

I develop solutions to deliver data and metadata from the cloud by migrating current data holdings and redesigning current technologies to be more cloud performant. When I am not in front of a screen I enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring the world.

Omid is a software engineer employed at the EarthScope Instrumentation Center (EPIC), where he demonstrates over six years of expertise in software development and machine learning domains.
