What you need to know

• Inbound connections to Seattle servers (iris.washington.edu) are being shut down on August 11, 2026 at 9 AM MT. If you deliver data via Seedlink, Antelope, Earthworm, FTP, or by other means to Buddy (128.95.166.5), USRA (128.95.166.10), or Ringsub (128.95.166.143), you must migrate before this date to avoid interruption.
• Firewall permissions: please feel free to remove any outbound firewall rules that allow delivery to these Seattle on-premises servers at the IP addresses listed above. 
• BUD Monitor replacement: the legacy BUD Monitor is being replaced by the new Seismic Stream Monitor, available now at status.earthscope.org.

This is one of the final steps in a multi-year effort to move EarthScope’s seismic data archiving — nearly 40 years’ worth, hosted at the University of Washington — into the AWS cloud. We know recent changes have come in quick succession, and we appreciate your patience as we complete this transition.
