With registration for the 2025 NSF GAGE/SAGE Community Science Workshop opening March 3, we’d like to encourage you to consider signing up for the “Cloud 101” short course that will be offered on Sunday, May 18.

We’ve been introducing some of the cloud computing capabilities that are coming online as development on our new cloud-native data archives progresses. The GeoLab JupyterHub we’re building for community use should provide a helpful bridge into those new capabilities.

This half-day short course will provide a hands-on walkthrough of that JupyterHub and cover some of the fundamental cloud computing concepts that will enable new ways of working with our data. If you’re interested in putting these systems to work as soon as they’re available, this is a great opportunity to learn the ropes.

More information will be accessible on the workshop event page, where you’ll also be able to register.
