About Nick (he/him)
Nick Shepherd is currently studying Forestry at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, CO. His passion for pursuing a natural resources career started when he was a young boy, curious about the outside world and its endless learning opportunities. Earning a Wolves to Rams (W2R) transfer scholarship for academic success, he will continue his education at Colorado State University (CSU) to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest and Rangeland Stewardship, Forest Management Concentration. As a Geo-Launchpad intern, his work will be specified towards groundwater geochemistry by connecting remote geophysical measurements of subsurface resistivity or gravity with surface-based models like wellwater and streamwater sampling utilizing an instrument known as a WGL (Well Geochemical Logger). Nick is eager to delve into more science-based opportunities.
