Alana and Nikodemos (“Nik”) are two of our 2026 Geo-Launchpad Interns. This summer, they are working on computer modeling of burial sites using Ground Penetrating Radar at the Kansas Geological Survey in Lawrence, Kansas.
Alana recently graduated from Allan Hancock College with her Associate’s Degree in Mathematics and Science. She will be attending UC Davis for Environmental Engineering in the fall.
Nik is from Charlottesville, Virginia, where they go to school at Piedmont Virginia Community College. They will be graduating this coming spring with both their Associate of Science and General Studies degrees, and then will transfer to a 4-year university to major in Geology and Communications.
