EarthScope Data Services will be retiring the web service “RRDS” as a part of our effort to refine the NSF National Geophysical Facility’s portfolio of data and metadata access capabilities in the cloud.

What: Retirement of https://service.iris.edu/irisws/rrds/1

When: On or after May 18, 2026

No replacements for this functionality exist. Quality Assurance metrics for seismic data in our archive can be found via the MUSTANG suite of services now in our new production domain (https://service.earthscope.org/mustang/). 

As a part of decommissioning the RRDS service, we will also remove documented references to RRDS or mark them as defunct.
