David Simpson served as President of IRIS from 1991 to 2014. In retirement, he keeps track of EarthScope activities online and remains delighted and impressed with the quality, variety, and excitement of the materials and services that continue to be provided. He is still based in the DC area and spends as much time as he can with his ten grandchildren, especially when it involves escaping in the summertime to the old family homestead in Merigomish, Nova Scotia.
