As a reminder to real-time GNSS data users, the legacy real-time streaming service will be retired in less than a month on July 29, 2025. All users must transition to EarthScope’s modernized real-time GNSS data streaming platform before that date.
Key Transition Details:
- Re-registration Required: All users must re-register on the new platform. Existing usernames and passwords will not work.
- New NTRIP Caster:
- Hostname: ntrip.earthscope.org (replacing rtgpsout.earthscope.org)
- Format Support: RTCM 3.3 and BINEX (RTCM 3.1 will be discontinued)
- New Mountpoint Format: {FCID}_RTCM3P3 (not {FCID}_RTCM3)
- Hostname: ntrip.earthscope.org (replacing rtgpsout.earthscope.org)
- Updated Support Contact:
- New: data-help@earthscope.org
- Old address (rtgps@earthscope.org) is deprecated.
- New: data-help@earthscope.org
- Transition Timeline:
- April 29, 2025 – New platform became fully available
- July 29, 2025 – Old service retires; rtgpsout.earthscope.org will point to the new system, but mountpoints will be different
- April 29, 2025 – New platform became fully available
Trial License Note:
There was an issue affecting trial licenses on the new system making them unusable in most cases. This has been resolved. Furthermore, everyone was allowed to recreate the trial license starting June 1st to allow those whose trial license was unusable to have full access with a new trial license.
