John led the IRIS Education and Public Outreach program for 21 years until retirement near the end of 2022. He has continued to assist in the creation of educational resources for the EarthScope Engagement program, and is involved in documenting lessons learned from the IRIS EPO program. When not considering new geoscience education opportunities, he enjoys singing, traveling, and engaging in outdoor pursuits with his wife.
