I am an engineer supporting field operations in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and the Caribbean. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and fun water activities.

Joe Pettit

I oversee polar PI project support at both Poles, covering places like Antarctica, Greenland, and Alaska. I’ve traveled to Antarctica 28 of the last 30 years. In my free time, you’ll often find me playing the guitar or mountain biking.

Jim Normandeau

Jim manages PI projects group where we provide engineering support services in the mid-latitudes, for the installation permanent of GNSS networks (cGNSS), cGNSS network O&M, and cGNSS monitoring. We also conduct TLS and UAS surveys and data processing. In my off time, I enjoy cycling of varies disciplines and competitive tennis.

Doerte Mann

 am an Engineer supporting NOTA operations in California, troubleshooting and fixing GNSS stations from the office and in the field. Outside of work, I love gardening, sewing, and exploring the beautiful California coast by sea kayak.

Shawn Lawrence

I am an engineer for the Southwest Region of NOTA, with a background in the installation, operation, and maintenance of GNSS stations. When I’m not working outdoors, I like taking my family outdoors to play.

Lia Lajoie

Wade Johnson

Wade works with the borehole strainmeter group, as well as helping out with GNSS projects. He has been installing various types of geophysical instruments for more than 20 years. He enjoys travel (especially international), hiking, cooking, and serving his cats.

Brendan Hodge

Brendan is a geoscientist and engineer working primarily in NOTA East region. In the past he has supported geodetic and seismic research in the Antarctic, Arctic, and alpine environments and has expertise in geodetic networks, terrestrial Lidar, and UAS. During his off time you will likely find him roaming mountains, fishing, climbing, or skiing.
