The 2024 election results for the Board of Directors, which serves as non-profit governance to EarthScope Consortium, are compiled and ready to share.

New Members

Four new members have been elected to join the Board of Directors for three-year terms starting in 2025.

  • Geoff Abers, Professor in Geological Sciences at Cornell University (Chair Elect)
  • Greg Beroza, Professor of Earth Science at Stanford University
  • Nate Lindsey, VP of Science and Innovation at FiberSense
  • Susan Owen, Deputy Chief Scientist at JPL

We want to thank the other four candidates for volunteering to serve: Sam Hansen, Ebru Bozdağ, Thomas Coleman, and Noel Jackson.

Outgoing and Continuing Members

This means that the terms of four current members are ending: Lara Wagner, Paul Lundgren, Frederik Simons, and Tonie van Dam.

Board members continuing on include: Gareth Funning, Beatrice Magnani, Paul Winberry, Zach Eilon, Ruth Aronoff, Kristel Chanard, Colleen Dalton, and Andrew Newman.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of everyone who gives their time to serve on the Board or on Advisory Committees, and thank the member representatives that vote on behalf of their institutions!
