Space is limited to approximately 25 participants. Participants are required to attend the full three days of the workshop. To apply, please complete the online application form. The EarthScope National Office (ESNO) will provide food, lodging, materials, and field trip travel during the workshop. Participants (or their organizations) are expected to cover the costs of travel to and from the workshop. ESNO will cover accommodation in Mt. Rainier National Park housing. Housing is apartment-style with bedrooms. Participants must bring their own sheets, blankets, towels, sleeping bags, or other bedding. Arrangements can be made if this is a problem for any participants. CD’s, printed handouts, and other workshop materials will be provided by the ESNO at no cost to participants.
Participants will be selected to insure a breadth of agencies, geographic locations, and professional expertise at the workshop. Preference given to those with previous geological training and/or experience presenting geological content in interpretive programs or exhibits. There is also room for a few Earth science teachers from the K-12 school system who interact with interpretive specialists in parks or museums.
Application deadline is March 1, 2008.
Participants are required to attend the entire workshop.
