References to EarthScope related data, data products, and tools are provided to further support the scientific community and those with an interested in measurement data from more than one thousand instruments located across North America. The freely available, high precision data can be viewed as the most important legacy of the National Science Foundation's largest investment in solid-Earth Science.

New EarthScope Data Portal Release

The premier release of the EarthScope Data Portal is now available online! The new portal provides an additional means for students, researches and others interested in scientific data to simultaneously explore EarthScope's various instrument networks, as well as seamlessly download data from multiple stations and instrument types. The intuitive Google Maps-based user interface provides a familiar means to filter stations by geography, data class, or station identifier. Additional temporal and spatial filters give users the ability to further refine their searches as needed.

Developed in cooperation with San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC), Incorporated Research Institution for Seismology (IRIS), University NAVSTAR Consortium (UNAVCO) and International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP), this release culminates more than a year of dedicated effort from numerous individuals who deserve the gratitude of the scientific community.

Seismic data holdings pertaining to all components of USArray, SAFOD, and PBO can be found at the IRIS Data Management Center (DMC). Near real-time data holdings are also available from the online data cache, or Buffer of Uniform Data (BUD), prior to formal archiving. Near-real-time seismic data from SAFOD are available via an online cache, Data Available in Real Time (DART), prior to official archiving. In addition, the NCEDC maintains a separate multi-terabyte online copy of recent continuous high sample rate for researchers interested in exploring this unique data set.

GPS Data

Data holdings from the GPS Seamless Archive Center (GSAC) are available through an online interactive query-building process. Processed GPS products are produced by Analysis Centers at Central Washington University and the University of California, Berkeley and the Analysis Center Coordinator at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. All these products, and the raw data from which they are derived, are stored at the UNAVCO Facility GPS archive. The raw data and higher-level data products are documented and available from the PBO GPS Products web page.

Strainmeter Data

Processed Borehole Strainmeter data products are produced by UNAVCO's Borehole Strainmeter Analysis Center in Socorro, New Mexico, while Laser Strainmeter products are produced at the University of California, San Diego. These products include cleaned and scaled strain time series, correction series, and ancillary information. All the products, and the raw data from which they are derived, are stored at the IRIS Data Management Center and the Northern California Earthquake Data Center.

SAFOD Data

Data holdings from the SAFOD Project can be accessed on the Intercontinental Drilling Program (ICDP) and the Northern California Earthquake Data Center (NCEDC) websites. The data consist mainly of cutting and mud sample reports, core boxes, core logging, and lithological reports updated daily.
