A rotating, university-based National Office facilitates scientific planning and coordinates education and outreach efforts for the EarthScope community. The National Office, currently housed at Oregon State University (OSU) also organizes the EarthScope National Meeting and several scientific workshops held throughout the year. The EarthScope Observatories are operated and maintained as a collaborative effort by UNAVCO, Inc., and the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS).

The National Science Foundation (NSF) EarthScope program receives input from the geoscience community through advisory committees whose members are drawn from the geoscience, cyberinfrastructure and education communities.

EarthScope needs broad participation from the geoscience research community to fulfill its promise. Nomiminations for EarthScope Committees and Thematic Working Groups are accepted annually for positions that will be filled as they become available. Two spaces are expected to open up on the EarthScope Steering Committee in 2010 (one immediately and a second mid-year). Click here to nominate individuals for membership on these committees. Please include contact information and a brief biographical summary with nominations. Self-nominations are welcomed. Please do your part!
